Luke Hughes isnt a difference maker? lol

Not right now. I was one of his strongest advocates in his draft year and love his toolkit, but the current version of Luke Hughes is not a difference maker yet.

Great skill set and capable of flashy plays, but more often than not he's a middle pairing defenseman at best.

Can be Niedermayer-esque in his prime so it's not a knock on Luke's potential. He just isn't a reliable all around difference maker in 2024-25.
