the bolded part is obviously the slump, yes? A 70ish point player is gonna have stretches in a season where they play well above a 70pt pace and stretches where they’re well below. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a slump.
Am i wrong in assuming that the expectations for Bratt are that he’s something more than a 65-75 point winger? I kinda thought it was a given that he should be at 80-90 points throughout his prime but maybe i’m reading the wrong. Hopefully the Devils figure out their power play next year and everyone has an offensive explosion and this discussion is moot.
He didn’t have a good second half season, it wasn’t just the points, his underlying numbers weren’t great either.
I’m not sure why it happened and I’m not going to guess. He’s still worth his contract.
