Only to us! We are not allowed to have nice things!Never seen a defense group this decimated at the end of the season. Truly remarkable.

If they were right more often, people probably wouldn't give a crap about them, but being able to point and laugh at someone being wrong is super important these days. It's cathartic for some.Who is devrickus and why does anyone give a crap about him or Bratt Pack? Some of you spend way too much time worrying about internet randos
so if Kovy needs knee surgery and he doesn't know if he'll be ready in 5 months, isn't that pretty much a torn ligament? What else could it be?
Jack eichel surgery incomingThe cynic in me says that Dillon almost has to say this publicly to not hurt the team’s offseason negotiations.
Hmmm so Kovacevic is now unlikely to be ready for next season due to knee surgery. Someone ask Fitz why he paid UFA rate premium w/ NMC to extend a guy during the season. What's the justification? One of Hamilton or Nemec aren't gonna be here next season. The Kovacevic contract guaranteed that given how this roster is constructed and other needs.
So happy Fitz gave Kovacevic material cash and another NMC in the only position of organizational strength vs getting a 1st+ or a solid forward prospect at the deadline (easily based on other prices paid). Shit like this is exactly why this team can't get over the hump. Stuck in purgatory.
Can they even trade Dougie at this point if Kovy isn’t going to start the season lol

If Kovacevic needs knee surgery and isn’t sure he’ll be back in five months, sounds like it could be an ACL tear. Could be something like a meniscus too, but that timeline really screams ligament.so if Kovy needs knee surgery and he doesn't know if he'll be ready in 5 months, isn't that pretty much a torn ligament? Realistically you know that’s not going to happen next year, Casey wasn’t trusted to play more than 8-9 minutes a game and was benched for the entire OT in Game 5 with the rest of the D running on fumesI mean they could and theoretically start the season with Pesce, Nemec, Casey on the right..
meniscus fits the timelineso if Kovy needs knee surgery and he doesn't know if he'll be ready in 5 months, isn't that pretty much a torn ligament? What else could it be?
i defer judgement to the professionals that get paid to do this work. but dang man what was the rush on singing him? i'm not even saying this because the injury just saying i dont think it would've been a big deal either way if you waitedInjuries are part of the game and all that, but the ink is barely dry on this contract.
Just awful.
I really am not a fan of signing guys mid-season. Especially when shit like this happens.
Pretty much the last decision Devils fans universally agreed on was Lou’s idiocy in keeping the Matteau pick, rushing to resign Kovacevic when we hadn’t seen him without Siegs or for a full season was pretty close to that kind of agreement though.i defer judgement to the professionals that get paid to do this work. but dang man what was the rush on singing him? i'm not even saying this because the injury just saying i dont think it would've been a big deal either way if you waited
Yeah, a repaired meniscus could definitely match that timeline. But ACL recoveries for NHL players are very often in the 6–9 month range these days, so it's still a strong possibility — especially if he's unsure about being ready in five.meniscus fits the timeline
The other major ones like acl and mcl are a year long
Idk I think waiving Urbom being the catalyst of the collapse of humanity was the last time this board was united on a topicPretty much the last decision Devils fans universally agreed on was Lou’s idiocy in keeping the Matteau pick, rushing to resign Kovacevic when we hadn’t seen him without Siegs or for a full season was pretty close to that kind of agreement though.

Yes, but if Markstrom has a lesser workload then the chances of him getting hurt go down. Its dangerous. Markstrom is old and he wasnt healthy. In this situation we will be one injury away from Daws\Poulter duo.
