I dont know what Kovy's deal is but both Dillon and Luke are done for the year and they have been since Game 2.

Glass isn't going to be too expensive. $2.5 million QO for a true NHL center is, all things considered, affordable.

Whether he's a 3C or a 4C, that's an argument. But we're a team that needs decent NHL centers and he's one. Not going to find one cheaper, and that young.

Especially if they're only gonna play Cholowski 8 minutes again.

I would much rather play 7 D with Casey and just lean even more heavily on Nico, Bratt, and Timo. We’ve gotten, literally, zero from the bottom 6 and PP. It’s a no risk move.

Casey should've been in yesterday after their PP flopped in Game 3. You're getting virtually nothing from your bottom 6 anyway. Casey could at least pull Dougie off the PP1 and give a different wrinkle. That's one of the strikes against Keefe this series.

I saw rumors about problems with health of Dillon. If its true - situation with Dumo could be very different. If he will recover normally, than I will not wait Dumo for next season.

If we are talking about Dogie - yeah, some trust in your young players, some trust in helping of Gritsyuk, some trust in new top-6F\competent 3rd line center(I hope).
I really like Dougie and Im not sure at all that we will trade him(I think its less likey than more likely) but I think its a last (and the first) good opportunity to trade him.

Im not advocating for or against the call, but we really dont know all of the details that go into such decisions

They arent producing on the stat sheet but those lines have been useful with keeping possession down low and grinding the defense down

Start running only our top-6 for most of the game and we will be wondering why we are stuck in our end for 2/3rds of it

I do agree with running Casey in there for Cholowski. I wouldnt go 7D though as itd stretch an already ineffective offensive group even thinner

I agree. Dougie accuracy has been way off this season, and VERY off this return into the playoffs.

Dougie can't hit the net if his life depended on it right now. Shots are way wide or he releases it and it gets deflected.

Not sure if it is his injury or confidence or that, but he has been bad getting shots through.

His defense hasn't been bad on the other hand, minus maybe that first game.

I think he's still somewhat hurt. He was good before injury (on the PP and 5 on 5) but he's been our worst defensemen (not counting Dillon or Cholowski) this series.

It really sucks to have to deal with this. Would any of us have imagined two weeks ago that in Game 5, we'd have Dougie and Jonas back and not Luke, Kova and Dillon. It's really insane.

Yea because Dougie has been crushing it. His immobility is killing the PP because the canes just pressure the point and he doesn’t shoot for fear of it getting blocked and causing an odd man rush the other way. Casey has the mobility/agility needed at the point to allow the PP to function.
