No. I think it's playing better without Dillon. He's really not good.

Luke has his warts but he has the speed to make up for his mistakes or his partner's mistakes. He also brings a ton of offense.

Dillon provides....what exactly? While also being really not great at D.

This is what everyone said about Graves. Took till getting him off the team for all of you to admit he wasn't good.

Obviously, Dillon > Cholowski or however you spell the guys name

but if all 3 of Luke, Dillon, and Kovacevic are available, Dillon is the guy out for me

Dumoulin almost definitely won’t cost $4.5 million per. He’s only making I think $3.1 or something on his current deal and he’s gonna be 34. So he probably won’t get a raise at all. And if he does it likely won’t be by that much.

I’d like to keep him, but there’s no room with Dillon still here.

And we really shouldn’t have both. We already have enough defensemen who struggle to break 20 points annually.

But I’d definitely like him more than Dillon.

You don't think him and Dillon have similar resume's?

Dillon got 4x3.

With the cap up now I don't think he comes in particularly cheap unless you give him term. On a 2 year deal I think the AAV is higher than you'd think

I don't think anyone out here is denying that. I think Dillon has been widely regarded as the number 6 dman all year, and we have since added Dumo, and Nemec looks great again.

I think you go 11-7 with whatever 7 are healthy from Luke-Nemec-Dougie-Siegs-Pesce-Dumo-Kovy-Dillon, with dillon being the odd man out if EVERYONE is healthy

He doesn't have to bring offense. He just needs to get the puck up ice efficiently to his team mates in transition which I don't think he's capable of. Bahl is probably much better at it, it's a shame that he never used his size. Silayev reminds a bit of Volchenkov (minus the skating), a super solid punishing defenseman but esssially a grenade handler, todays game is much different. If he never had the element to his game regarding his hands, he never will.

Kevin Bahl couldn't make a breakout pass to save his life.

I will eat my crow and I like it well done. I give credit where it is due. It was not just the heroic double OT goal that saved our season by Nemec, but he was outstanding last night. And it followed a very good game the game before it.

This power play is a dumpster fire. IDK why Timo isn't on the right side and kept there.
Markstrom has been good, but he's gotta be playoff good. Almost like a brick wall.
I was one of the few who thought Dumoulin was a good signing at the time. Just sayin'.

We don’t know and won’t know until either the playoffs are over or they’re ostensibly healthy, whatever happens first

Ah man, if they actually make this a series, I can't rant about the draft capital/overpays at the deadline.

Finally a gutsy performance from this group and overcoming adversity. 5 dmen, one of which who hadn't played in months. Hell of a move and finish by Nemec; his ozone play was pretty good with the added playing time but his defense/stick positioning/awareness was mostly brutal if ya focus on him (he's young obviously). Dumo played his ass off.

How bad the powerplay was is inexcusable at this point and could have wasted an otherwise great team effort. So bad it killed momentum at times. I don't care how good their PK is, you gotta be able to setup and/or generate something once in a while. Bratt constantly circling back towards the point and taking 2 options away while being pressed ain't it and needs to stop. They need someone to be comfortable in the intermediate center on the PP....idk if they have that guy tho.

He’s getting his confident back and we saw what he can do last season. Kid is solid and is getting his confidence back. He can be a first pairing D with time, he has very good tools, you can see him have more urgency this series.

Hopefully, he’s in the long term plans.

He’s getting his confident back and we saw what he can do last season. Kid is solid and is getting his confidence back. He can be a first pairing D with time, he has very good tools, you can see him have more urgency this series.

He is another one that is probably some offseason work with Bratt’s guy away from really picking up his game

Nemec is using English quite nicely. But I believe they will give him a couple more lessons.
