I tend to think the holdup will be about term. My guess is Luke’s agent (his dad for all intents and purposes) will push hard for five years while NJ will want 8. Maybe they compromise at 6 years .

Jack went longer term when he could've went shorter term, I'm not too worried about it and 6 years is pretty long so I guess we'll see. Hopefully it gets done quickly, we could use some good news.

Pretty sure Luke's deal will either be 8 years or a bridge, I'm pretty confident it'll be 8 years though. Jack has 5 years left.

People should be prepared for a short bridge deal, I’ll personally be pleasantly shocked if we lock him up longterm this off-season.

It would be difficult to move salary this offseason and I don’t see how we can swing Luke’s deal while Dougie’s here.

I’m also prepared for the deal not to happen anytime soon, non-arbitration eligible RFA deals happen in September more often than not.
