While I agree on principle, who else are they going to take out? Unless you literally start load managmenting the top five. I mean you could punish Pesce for the most brain dead penalty imaginable (if you even want to call sitting him in a dead rubber game punishment) but it doesn't look like we really go that route with vet players these days. It's not like Casey's going to play with everyone healthy either once Dougie gets back.
I'd rest Luke, he looks like he's not healthy

If they rest Luke, they should play Cholowski instead. Nobody should be playing on their wrong side, the Devils have 4 lefties and 5 righties.
Don't worry guys, I'm resting myself tomorrow as well, did a buyback.

My friend started flying in for games again after we clinched lol.
Didn't work out so well last night, which I think was his first game since before four nations.

LOL I sold this game a while back cause I figured I was going to last night's game and the regular season home finale but turned out I can't go to the Wednesday game even if I wanted to so I used my last buyback on that instead.

Really want Jesper to hit 90 and Nico to hit 70 before the season runs out.
Jesper needs 2 and Nico needs 3. They both might have only 2 games to get it done since they should both get one of the back to back games off.

None of the top guys should play the remaining games unless they have stuff in their contracts for incentives based stuff especially since you never know how the Isles/Bruins/Red Wings might feel with their seasons ending after game 82.

Contracts, with the exception of ELC and possibly still 35+ contracts, can not have incentives in them.
Contract incentives would have made the salary cap shenanigans way too prevalent so the league put in place that only ELC and old guys on 1 year deals can get them to ensure those players who truly perform aren’t underpaid.

I’m all for resting players, but the team needs to stabilize and try to build some type of consistency up heading into the matchup against the Canes. I would say to everyone you haven’t earned a rest. If there is an injury concern sure sit them but otherwise get out on the ice and get some confidence back in their game.

Honestly, I think some players would prefer not to test. Boyle even talked about it in their podcast a few weeks ago about how we rested all those guys in game 82 after we clinched and he never liked the concept of it.
I get it, you never want a guy to get hurt in a game that is ultimately meaningless. But I think we would benefit from having the team put a couple of strong games together before the playoffs start.

Fair enough, I wasn't too sure if they did or didn't so that would be the only reason to play the top guys. If not, sit them.
