Curious what that trade looked like for us acquiring Cozens.
I would think Mercer would be in the deal back at least.

Man, what shitty luck on that injury.Keefe said Siegs hasn't even been able to put skates on yet, so yeah we won't be seeing him anytime soon
f*** Pittsburgh and their shitty ice.Keefe said Siegs hasn't even been able to put skates on yet, so yeah we won't be seeing him anytime soon

Gunther being there in person is neat if you like WWE.

Ugh I was hoping there was at least some signs of regression there that the Devils may be able to capitalize on their overreliance of him as a shutdown 3C.
Let’s hope whatever this injury he’s out with right now might slow him down because I do fear he could neutralize Hischier at evens in a hard matchup situation.
I think this Devils team has a lot more bite to them and experience that they aren’t going to be pushed around physically like they did in 2022-23. I think they’ll go toe-toe with the Hurricanes in that regard.
I just worry about their pressure being overwhelming to a team that might not have the offensive skillset to play through it, especially if the matchups don’t go our way.
I searched Xwitter for this, and had to read dumb ass posts from annoying posters, so you owe me lol.
This seems to be the source and Fitz never says which center with term he’s talking about. (Hopefully not Laughton for f***’s sake)
I think it was Coyle but I can't find the source.
I miss Travis so muchApparently it's 6 years to the date since Zajac's GWG v Florida then pushed us down in the 2019 lottery, I remember being so pissed when he scored that.![]()
It was Charlie Coyle (the C) Fitz wanted.
Eliotte Friedman confirmed this in something, but I cant find the source right now. I say I know this because im the one who posted it in here at first.
No need to worry about Casey being ready for a full time role next year. He's 5'10 with skates and maybe 165lbs. He's miles away physically. So many positives coming out of the victory against the Rangers. The play of Seamus Casey is one of the biggest positives from the game. If he continues to be at least decent defensively and not make the egregious mistakes that Nemec does, he should jump Nemec on the depth chart for good. Unlike Nemec, he hasn’t sulked at all about not playing with the big club. In fact, he’s been the polar opposite. The kid is special and I’m a fan.
Keefe finally gave him some well-deserved praise (see article).
What do we do next year if Casey is ready for a full time role? The long term solution is parting ways with Hamilton but that’s not going to happen yet (maybe 2026). Along with Kovo and Pesce, Seamus is blocked. Good potential problem to have.

It took one game for Seamus Casey to take Simon Nemec's lineup spot for good
"Unbelievable pass" was how New Jersey Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe described Seamus Casey's pass to Timo Meier that led to his third-period goal that made tpucksandpitchforks.com
