Lol I went with a Rags friend with his family, some Rags fan behind me mid way during the game said "Jack isn't good defensively" and then when he tied it up I started jawing back at him. Funny ass day. Probably my favorite Devils Rags game live I've seen, I think I went to every Devils Rags win that year now that I think about it lol. I saw the MSG road win, that win and the one where Timo got a GWG in

The fans around me (Devils and Rags) were really low key and all families. I was too pissed off and left out of respect to them lol. Still got all emotional over this B.S after all of these years! Lol

I think it depends on the game tbh, I think it'll get bad today if it's a blowout on either side. That game was like a January game that probably didn't mean much in the whole scheme of things. Devils were in a rut I remember that part of 22-23 and it jump started them but they probably would've been fine either way. The fights and stupidity happen when a team is teetering for its life going into one of these games lol

To play Devils advocate, I don’t believe a single other LHD moved at the deadline. Way too many teams thought they still had a chance, the actual rental market was thin, and teams were asking for ransoms for players.

Getting back to your point, I do think that’s the reason they made this deal. Without Dumo, this team probably limps into the playoffs with the other mediocre wild cards. They’re easy first round exits to whoever they play. At least now this team has a fighting chance against Carolina and after that anything could happen especially if Siegs and Hamilton return.

As per the value why did we pay up for SJ to retain? In hopes of further trades?

But I do have to say in terms of Fitzgerald targeting a team need and addressing it, it’s A+ work. I’m scared to think of where this team would be without Dumoulin as he’s been a really steady and reliable addition in the absence of Siegenthaler.

Im skeptical but if he has a good playoffs then that goes a long way towards justifying keeping him around till the end of his contract.
