No, I'm certain it wasn't. But I hate Nichols and I hate his rumor-aggregating bullshit platform. He added and then heavily editorialized quotes from an actual reporter which then get even further editorialized on this forum which makes my brain hurt.

Friedman: Some devils players struggling to adjust to Keefe's coaching philosophy.
Nichols: SHELDON KEEFE'S INTENSITY WEIGHING ON DEVILS?
HFBoards, almost immediately: SHIP THE KIDDIE CLOWNS OUT NOW. SOFT CORE.

It's the worst game of telephone in the world.

i agree production wise they are doing their job. exactly how i feel about everything you said bolded. now i get people will say they brought in veterans to help out maybe those are the wrong vets wrong voices i dont know maybe but this is the exact same situation as last year except way better goaltending.

do people here remember that Stevens was never a talker on the bench, he was never a talker in the locker room, but he was an incredible captain because he set the example. Every day in practice he was the best player on the ice and brought it 100%. Every game day he brought it 100%. Guys played hard for him because he was the standard.

It would make me feel better from my living room in florida if they showed the bench and nico had a vein out of his neck popping while screaming at dawson mercer for blind backhand passes to the center of the ice on the PK, but I’m not stupid enough to think i have any qualifications as to what makes an elite nhl captain.

i mean im just basing it on what i see and past history of the team and players. totally opinionated you my friend are the one that takes it as absolute fact and cry HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU WEREN'T THERE!!!! chill son if you think thats hard play passion motivated play then thats on you. i do believe what is being whispered out there

so what leads you to believe they they don't "play with passion"?

Be specific.

is it because Nico isn't screaming at his teammates on the bench? Is it because Bratt doesn't celebrate like crazy when he scores a goal? Would love to hear this compelling evidence.

come on bro grow up will ya. its like you love going around and accuse people of being extreme and then you do it yourself. smh

i've said it a thousand times before going back to last year. lazy uninterested play esp when they are losing or things go against them casual soft play esp in the third period when trailing. long stretches where there is just no urgency in their play double so when its in the third period. you just know once that give up that 2 goal lead its game over this is even true when jack is in the lineup. wasn't the case two years ago though then last year it was the goalies and ruff and now this year its jacks injury
