I have learned over my life to this point that the "don't count your chickens before they are hatched" saying is exceptionally valid still (even in a literal sense with H5N1).

Sad we as a society have such tiny attention spans that 30 minutes of focus is unattainable. There are some things that can't be adequately communicated in a 15 second tiktok or YouTube short.

Whatever the mention of Rachel is, I have only the most modest of interest in, and I'm not sifting through a 30 minute vid of John Oliver to find it. There is no reflection of society in my lack of desire to do so. If anything one's willingness to waist 30 minutes to find such a mention is the poor reflection on society.

Warning: I am on the couch, in my pajamas, drinking coffee, and if you want to keep this going I will.......

.....but I will not watch that video........

....because, in part, as I mention above, my gf was giving me shit, with her reading and my earphones not working and all.

Haha no, it does not need to go further. I apologize. I was definitely on a soapbox speaking towards a societal issue that is not necessarily applicable to you. It was an opportunity to present something that probably has no business being presented here.

the Rangers are currently the 1st team out of the playoffs. They have 72 pts so the most they can get (if they go 13-0-0) is 98 points. If you have seen the way they've played lately, you know they ain't winning 13 games in a row....

Let's put them at a semi-realistic 7-4-2. That gets them to 88 points. The Devils only need to pick up 9 points in their final 13 games to surpass that.

re: Markstrom I'm not that worried inasmuch as it feels like we're one more bad game away from Keefe giving Allen an audition at 1A, he's been getting more time the last couple weeks as it is. I don't think Keefe will let Markstrom sink the season the way Hynes didn't let Cory sink 2018, with as much as we had invested in both.
