Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

Howe's forearm is as big as Jesper Bratt.
9 goals in 61 games from 17 million dollars worth of forwards is hard for me not to smack that horse one more timeI guess we can scratch them the rest of the way but I reckon that may be the best route
As we discussed the other day, we can find many star forwards that have these stretches. They both scored last night which will be the start of a different and better final stretch. (i hope)
If not, then its a bigger gripe to poke at
Also Timo with 3 in 6 games which is a good start to March, hope he keeps it going

Oh don't get me wrong I hope these guys catch fire...but this place just seems so disingenuous when they'll wreck every goalie, most any Dman any bottom 6 player... really any ancillary player... but will say absolutely nothing about the guys who are most responsible the absolute drought of goals we have seen.
I am a middle of the ground guy. I have been acknowledging their great quality of play but also voiced displeasure over Timos lack of goals this season and I pointed out Bratt’s monthly production going down every season with each passing month while also acknowledging the rest of his game being very very good

There will be more stretches after today.
Anyone can make an argument out of any stretch which is cherry picked.

Mercer is a 3rd line PKer getting paid a1/3 of what those others players are while scoring twice as many goals since the end of December... who's he going to get assist from Haula?

Which means they have been nearly invisible for more than half of the year. . at least in terms of goals
You were showing a 26 gm stretch from Dec 27th to now…I literally showed you a different 26 gm stretch. And I am sure theres another 26 gm stretch that can be cherry picked for X reasons. And then when things like impact scores are provided which shows you a greater picture, it will get shit on. Nothing will appease you because you will stick with your original cherry picked stretch.
TLDR:
Who cares, its a long season and things ebbs and flows for stars and for even grinders. It is obvious what the best talent on this team is and a handful of them are in the top of the NHL in many stats.

Meier's goals dried up since December 27th. 29 games ago...during those 61 games the two have 9 goals between them.
But that's ok apparently assist or something....90 points
and I agree, thats been a problem, it needs to rebound. Timo thankfully started that trend back up. Bratt hopefully follows suit. If not, thats not as damaging due to his top tier playmaking abilities
The point I am making is, there are good and bad stretches by everyone which has been discussed ad naseum the other day with alot of examples league wide. In these low stretches by our top guys, other forwards need to step up and also the D corps. We need more production from there too.
This all has been discussed this week so I will leave it at that
And he still leads the team in scoring since then despite only shooting 6%, half his career average.
He's been one of the few bright spots during our drought.
A team is a cake. If the flour isn’t sweet that isn’t necessarily its job. If Bratt created 100 goals in assists what’s better that or if scores 40 goals and zero assists? I’d like all Devils to score more. It’s been an issue for the whole team. It’s hard for me to crap on Bratt for his play.

What would have you satisfied in terms of production for Bratt? 100 points? Top 5 in the league?
Meier also hit 40 goals in there, something tkachuk has never done.
Meier GPG over the last 4 years is 0.418
Tkachuk is 0.424
Now, that of course involves an extra SEVEN HOURS of time tkachuk spent on the ice with the opposing team down a man, but hey.

There has seemed to be an issue with this team for a long time where they are all hot and all cold at the same time. When they are on, everyone is scoring goals. Then they all get cold at the same time. It would be nice if they could find more consistency as a group. Not just the top players, but the whole team.
And if timo played full time with Jack his offensive numbers would look a lot better???
