Two years of control beyond this year is not nothing. The only reason you wouldn't pay for that is if you think those two years would he a hindrance and he is cooked as a player.
Well I just remembered OReilly has been outspoken about Keefe and his coaching style not being a fit for him

So yeah this isnt happening lol; Toronto fans reminded me of this

Welcome to New Jersey Luke. :sarcasm:

It's that center you've been asking for

Yeah I agree the cost for ROR would probably be far too rich. He’d be the perfect guy to have next year behind Jack and Nico. Would really take some defensive pressure off of Nico, too.

Friedman was just on NHL Network and indicated that Nashville is basically treating ROR as if he has a no movement clause. It’d have to be a worthwhile trade for them to consider even asking him if he would go. So it sounds like it’d be far too rich.

If you go after Oreilly you ask for retention so you can still add. If you go for Petey you don’t ask for retention because it will cost less because of the cap hit.

I’d stay away from Oreilly. He has no offense. We need offense.
55 pt pace
70 pts last year

I wouldnt say no offense. And that Nash team is a MESS this season. Nothing going right

So now when seeing the Soucy trade so people realize this market!? Soucy has been one of the worst D in all of hockey this year and he got a 3rd
And thats with no retention. Seems about right in this market
