thats a 2nd and the Devils 3rd rounder from last year. he was traded for a 2026 4th in the offseason, good market for sellers not looking forward to what else Fitz has got up his sleeve based on this

Trying to make a run when we are going to do absolutely nothing in the playoffs is a joke. This team has too many damn holes because Fitz has prioritized useless Vets.

This also probably indicates Siegs is out long-term - if that is the case we are done for anyways.

Can't trade Herman Traff, who has had a solid D+1, in a deal like this. Just can't do it.

You can give up the 2nd, though I hate it, I'd rather see them trade for a worse player for less and hope Siegenthaler comes back, but I see absolutely no reason to deal Traff.

The only upside is that Dumoulin is a decent candidate to be a 7th D here next year.

I'm not on the fire Fitzgerald train but this is the worst trade he's made by a fair margin.
