I dont understand LTIR and salary cap implications, but it could be smart?
is isnt really about that man, and yea at the end of the day it isnt a HUGE deal (assuming Jack is going to LTIR), it is just that the optics are objectively hilarious lol we're all hoping for reinforcements (which still may come!) and we get hit with trading for one of our scout's mid children.1.15 million?? How will we ever recover?!?! The sky is falling!!1!1!1!
The first part of your reply contradicts the second. We barely have enough room for our own deadline additions, the only way we are adding other teams' salary is if Jack is going on LTIR
Trade itself is whatever. Lachance has 52 points in 72 games for BU, probably ends up as an AHL forward but we need those. Hauser is basically a nothing and I doubt he's ever coming over to NA.
Its 1.15 million to broker a deal with space we were never going to use; a prospect, good will, whatever we got was better than nothingThis trade is basically to pay a million dollars to give the son of an employee a chance?
I didn’t mean they were selling. That they are probably going to be dipping into LTIROff the top of my head, Toronto brokered some deals to grind out some assets while still being in a playoff spot.
One more point than Cole Eiserman! I thought I had read some positive things about Lachance a few months back. Not expecting him to be a world beater, but the trade essentially is Lachance for Hauser and less than 300K in actual dollars.
The reinforcements are coming; Friedman said the Devils are 100% getting a center. When have we ever heard him talk so definitively about something like that?is isnt really about that man, and yea at the end of the day it isnt a HUGE deal (assuming Jack is going to LTIR), it is just that the optics are objectively hilarious lol we're all hoping for reinforcements (which still may come!) and we get hit with trading for one of our scout's mid children.
1.15milHow much cap space is 50% of the Frederic contract??
I agree, its whatever. But Optics are awfulIts 1.15 million to broker a deal with space we were never going to use; a prospect, good will, whatever we got was better than nothing
Jack is about to be LTIR'd (because even if its best case scenario he wont be back for a month minimum)
People will overreact because they see a deal that doesnt help the team right now. Theyll live (or theyll stop watching, which may be better)
Dont fall into the twisted pretzel most here have put themselves into

We need cap space. That doesn't make the trade "whatever". That makes the trade baffling.
Unless Jack is literally out till the playoffs what’s the point in that? And if he is good luck to Fitz magically hoping he’ll come back day one and be vintage, assuming we haven’t outright blown a spot.I didn’t mean they were selling. That they are probably going to be dipping into LTIR
Give LaChance a chanceThis trade is basically to pay a million dollars to give the son of an employee a chance?

Just the optic of trading for the scout’s kid is horrible lol, but it fits in with the good old boy networkOptics make this horrible
If this happened earlier in the season, it would be whatever
But yeah, this man better improve our forward roster somehow. All good will is long gone
