I think....some of you need to temper expectations for deadline moves.

I think Fitz absolutely 100% brings in at least 1 forward, but yeah.

Evans and Frederic would be a wildly underwhelming deadline and probably not even that cheap in terms of assets.

I don’t expect even one move as big to be honest.

Is anyone else having a size problem with HF? The site is only filling approximately 2/3 of my screen. and the right side bar is taking up a 1/4 of it.

The page used to go full screen, but this morning I have this shrinkage. I have enough trouble reading it as is, but this is just ridiculous.

Obviously guys do other stuff besides score, such as Bratt having 16 assists, and Timo creating a ton of chances for himself without scoring, but while there is a depth scoring issue, there is also a top end scoring issue as well. Bratt needs to take more of a goal scoring attitude(feel this will be more important come playoffs) and Timo needs to finish better. These 2 guys, despite playing fairly well, only having 5 goals combined in their last 20 games has been part of the issue through this stretch of overall team struggles.

Honestly I find this encouraging. Guys are scoring. And guys like Timo, Bratt, and Noesen are going to figure it out as they are proven players.

Fitz finds the right reenforcements and offense will not be an issue.

Considering there have been rumors Fitzgerald likes Evans and has checked in on Evans already, there could be something to this. Then again, we were already in Montreal yesterday anyway so it may not mean all that much. We shall see.

@MakoSlade I have that same impression as you about their GM. At the time, I thought a conditional second round pick was a steep price for Allen (didn’t envision him being this solid). If their asking price is too high, simply move on.

Still have no interest in a rental for this team. Wouldn't freak over giving a second for Evans, it's a drop in the bucket, but I'm just not a rentals person for the most part. Especially when I don't think they are going to move the needle for this team.

Having either Tatar or Bastian as the 13th forward would be good. Haula is a 4C and Lazar is basically unplayable at this point

Lazar is a better right-wing than a center.

I think if you at we buyer in a playoff spot then rentals make sense in many aspects. Hockey trades for players with term usually happy in the summer not around deadline season.

What I do like about Fitz is he often rimes trades for pending UFAs that he wants to keep. But this time of year, if you are shutting yourself out to a rental you are limiting your options. And if you make the playoffs you have a chance so make the best of the opportunity to go on a run.
