What are the contract ramifications if we do bring up Nemec?

Like what's the down side?

We’d just need to put someone like Markstrom on IR in order to open up a roster spot and Nemec’s salary would eat into our already limited cap space, though he would be sent back down ahead of 4 Nations (along with Daws) so the team can continue to accrue as much cap space as possible.

I hope Seigs is ok and that it’s not serious . If he’s out for 2-3 months , hopefully long term injury reserve would help us get someone we need via trade and cap room

We’re still only talking about IR at this point not LTIR, so it doesn’t matter if it’s Siegs or Markstrom.

Take this for what it is, but I was told that Siegs will be out 2-3 months. Apparently a knee injury

Im not someone with inside sources like that but was shared with me from someone I trust.

I think of this as more of an opportunity for one of our young defensemen!
