I want to start developing Luke into a viable PK dman if the plan is to bring Quinn in eventuallyWould be funny irony since Smith is on Dallas right now lol

The discounts Benn+Duchene would take are the biggest question marks. I mean clearly the front office of dallas has an idea of how to make it all work or they wouldn't have locked themselves into 20+ mill on Wyatt and Rantanen already, but tough to know from the outside looking in
I think Granlund Ceci were pure rentals.
Also, I think putting Dougie with ANY of Heiskanen, Lindell, or Harley is gonna see him dominate.
Adding Rantanen helped their PP as well, it was pretty brutal before they brought him in.
Dumolin, Siegs, Kovy, Pesce, Nemec, Luke. Its not that great from PK standpoint of view but we can live with it somehow. Shaw could help with Nemec and Luke being better.Dillon decision is so f***ing tough for me man. On the one hand, he is putrid BUTT 5v5. On the other hand, our PK got sent to mars without him in the Carolina series and their powerplay was dog shit the whole regular season. If you can find a good penalty dman somehow who can minute munch there then yeah lol
I think if we really like Bourque there is a deal to be made there with Casey as a prospect swap even if the money with dougie doesn't work. They might want to also push Miro away from having to be insane minute eater, have Harley + Dougie (for example eat the PP mins) and then have Lindell and Miro play PK solely outside of 5v5. Their right side has also been hilariously bad for good the rest of the roster is.
Seguin could play on Jack-Bratts line and win faceoffs while playing the wing? He's a stud in the circle. They might want to also push Miro away from having to be insane minute eater, have Harley + Dougie (for example eat the PP mins) and then have Lindell and Miro play PK solely outside of 5v5. (probably more involved in the deal but that would be non cap impacting futures probably)

I'd agree with that. I'd expect without seguin involved tho they can't move enough cap to make dougie viable unless there's retention involved (which I would avoid as NJD and they don't have the picks to be able to buy)I loved Seguin since his draft year and would love him but I truly think he's gonna retire in Dallas. The patience they had with the dude when his hip was cooked and let him come back at his pace. Plus I think, again, similar to Benn if they win or lose that they'll return there. Him and Benn will probably get their numbers retired if they win this year too.
Also, in terms of Seguin, I worry he may be overrated after riding a ridiculous 18% on ice shooting % this year on a small sample sizeI loved Seguin since his draft year and would love him but I truly think he's gonna retire in Dallas. Although I expect that would come more from casual fans than actual front offices.
He's an 11% career shooter and a 10.7% career OISH% and we're looking at 8-9% higher over a 20 game sample size.Seguin has always had an elite shot/been a good skater. An above average shooting year doesn't scare me
Someone slap Fitz
By god is that Brendan Smith's music I hear as a 4RW and PK king
Its either a free agency overpay or gambling on a cheaper Glass type option.
I hadn't been watching much of the Worlds, but a couple people on the main boards had name dropped Tyler Moy as somebody who had a nice showing. Looks like he was playing a bit with Nico and Timo. Although it looks like Moy is signed with his Swiss club through 2026, but dunno if he has an out clause or was looking to come back to North America.

Moy's from my neck of the woods in San Diego. He was a late round pick by Nashville at the 2015 Draft. I snapped a photo of the board and texted a friend who forwarded it to Moy's dad. I like to think that's how he found out.
Thankfully none of them are UFA this summer. Although at this point I'm already bracing for signing a center that won't actually fix anything for too much/too long because Fitz tends to overcorrect.
the guy is just a contributor to that website and sounded like merely an unfounded guessIf that list and the Bennett thing are true, I'm off the fence re: Fitz and am fine with moving on.
He's in this situation because of his shit drafting and doubling down on what hasn't worked isn't going to solve that.
EJ says one team is willing to give Bennett $10 million so he isnt coming here unless he does us a favor
