The Devils YouTube channel sucks. You can hardly hear the audio on any of their videos or interviews ever.

But some rando on YouTube filming his videos on an iPhone 4 and it’s louder than something run by a billion-ish dollar enterprise.

He wasn’t talking about the devils specifically. Just expects more offer sheets in general around the league.

What I'm interested in is if Fitz thinks this was a on off year for those depth pieces or if he needs to make changes. I think he absolutely needs to change some pieces around but we'll see what actually happens.

he has very strongly emphasized that he needs to make changes. He said quite clearly that the group isn’t good enough and it will be a different team next year.

Fitz said the right things, whether he will do them is another story. I did find his blurb about putting depth scoring last on his list to be enlightening. It certainly looked like something he put off til later. But now it seems like he'll put that front and center.

Given the lousy free agent market this year and the skyrocketing cap surely causing some teams to make some very stupid decisions, it'll be interesting to see what he does, and how he does it.

Fitz has never shied away from making changes, it has just been to different extremes.

I think he has a clear understanding of what the roster needs. It's how he fills those holes that will tell the story on whether his time here will continue or if that chapter closes for good.

Noesen had 22 goals, Mercer had 19 goals, Cotter had 16 goals, Palat had 15 goals the most he's had as a Devil.... Haula had 11 maybe a little off from his high of 16 with us two years ago but really? Was Fitz expecting more from this group? BS.

Is he talking about Tatar with 7? Bastian with 4? Or Lazar with 2 in 48 games?

I just said the same thing to my wife. Lol.

Can't they get a proper audio guy who knows what the f*** they are doing? Got this video full volume on my phone and can barely hear it out with regular ambient noise around me.

Don't get your hopes up, unless he pulls something out of his ass to free up cap space. It'll just be tinkering around the edges. He'll keep Glass and Sprong (meh), dump the rest of the UFA's, Bastian, Lazar, Tatar and Dowling. Throw in Gritz, give Halonen a shot and do something stupid with Dumoulin.

Don’t fall for the depth scoring excuses. Fitz is being disingenuous in his comments about this. He saw Meier-Lazar-Mercer and followed that up in the following year with Meier-Dowling-Mercer. He is a con artist in a cheap blazer.
