I like Tuch for the same reason I like Kyrou. He's a guy with great underlyings, great raw production, and it hasn't come mostly from the PP.

Tuch put up 66 points with just a minute and a half of PP time a night (PP2 usage is also very different than PP1 usage).

just 9 PP points in there.
Yup and his "bad" playoffs are ridiculously overblown. He led the Sabres in chances created and 5 on 5 Corsi.

Maybe he loses a couple millions cause of it and we can get lesser term or AAV

Sounds familiar to a big time UFA last offseason who led the playoffs in scoring this year

How good Buffalo is for a family? How many campings are in the area? Museums? May be Ruff likes Dougie and Dougie likes Ruff? Would be nice to trade one for one with sign and trade like Toronto and Tampa did day ago
there's a chance that he wouldn't be on his no trade list, tbh.

He stays in the east, not that far from Toronto....

He isnt perfect player and I believe some people will not like his deal. But he is s good player and the more we will have good player the easier it will be to compete for everybody on the roster.
Important part to calculate the opportunity to deal for Quinn Hughes - both on the deadline or next summer. I don't think Tuch will sign less than 11mil on the open market and Nico will sign 11.5-12.5+ mil deal. Devils should think twice about operating for big numbers or just close this QH narrative and start to build the team for now.

Maybe we can do a sign and trade like TOR did, got some cap savings compared to expectations.

It wont be a pretty deal, UFA is always risky in the later years but certainly helps us in the next 3/4 years be better

Lol Buffalo has spent a lot of money on D, they might be the worst potential partner for Dougie

They have like 0 righties and are exploring trading byram. Think that's why people are considering Buffalo a partner
Their only signed righty is Connor Timmins who plays like 15/16 minutes per game as a bottom pair. Its a pretty huge need for them to get a Right hander.

While we talk to them can we get Jack Quinn too

NJ has to start going backward against the cap. They would have to move out salary if he has a halfway decent season.

Gotta assume we get a move of somewhat significance from now until the draft. Too much smoke around a few of our guys for nothing to happen. Hopefully things start picking up today league wide.

It's Frank but he did say when he was a guest on Nucks N Pucks earlier this week that they were approaching a deal around 7 yrs 40m. So 7 X 5.7per if true
I’d be STOKED if we gave Gritsyuk that deal. Hopefully it’s true! Thanks for the info!

I don't give Frank a lot of credibility, but I'm all in on that deal if they do it.

Yeah, there's a chance you miss, but there's a chance you don't and I love the upside of that deal way more than I'm worried about the downside.

That strikes me like a Carolina deal. Shoot your shot and lock them up before they blow up. Won't always work (See Kotkaniemi), but that kind of miss also isn't catastrophic .
