By all accounts, if Hughes had already made a decision on leaving Vancouver, for better or for worse Rutherford would not hesitate to move him.

If he says that he's not going to re-sign here, then yes we're f***ed but by all accounts that's not something that's happened. Hell, last year Jack Hughes said that the brothers would never unite because he likes it in New Jersey and Quinn likes it in Vancouver. A lot of time left to cross that bridge if it does get to that point, but it has not.

Like I said good luck with that offer today, it ain't happening and I'm sure other teams would offer more and then Quinn doesn't end up in NJ anyways.

30 other teams would offer more than 2 3rd liners, a prospect trending to be a bust, a late 1st + 3rd.

If you want Hughes start with Casey + Silayev as the base. Otherwise keep daydreaming that he’s going to automatically sign in NJ like Toronto fans dream they are going to sign McDavid and every big name free agent ever.
