The pitching was great for most of the season, especially once Holmes got moved out of the closer role. The situational hitting disappeared for large parts of the season though and if anything makes the World Series easier to swallow for me it's that I didn't expect much going into the playoffs.
You know, I have to admit that I actually expected alot. If Judge catches that ball, we are headed back to LA, and Rhodon could give up 8 runs or pitch a perfect game bc he's actually psycho. It was pretty close. We could have won any of those games.
I thought for the first year in about 20, they made all the right moves with getting Soto, adding Jazz... And most importantly getting rookies to contribute. Weaver, Cousins kahnle (not tonight)and Hill were terrific.
