With Mercer and Nico on the pk, Meier hasn’t really gotten into the game
I know fans that were already giving up on this team. LolPhenomenal period
I like Garland a lot. Good player to have, but we have enough shorts on offense hahaI wasn’t that enthusiastic about the fight but I’m here for the pissy animosity between Haula and the tiny Canuck.

Through 2 periods looking like the best game of the year. They had games where they dominated more but thoroughly controlling the game against a really good team is definitely the most impressive game they’ve had so far
A team that has won 27 Championships loses Game 5 of the World Series?Thank dog the Devils are taking care of business tonight. I'm pretty sure Yankee fans are a minority on this board but that way the single worst loss I've ever experienced as a sports fan and I've experienced some pretty crushing losses between those two teams.
This game is reminding me of the game vs. the isles on the road early in the 22-23 season where we flat out destroyed them. That was probably one of the most decisive games I can recently remember (regular season wise).
This game has a similar feel. And palat was dominant in that game too.

NST has us at under 50% xGF% share at all strengths and slightly over 50% at 5v5 and even strength.
I like looking at advanced stats, but this is proof that sometimes context is needed and that they don't tell the whole story lol.

This game is 2 years to the day of what is THE most decisive game I can remember which was the game against Columbus where they like couldn’t even the puck. This game doesn’t quite reach the level of either of those games but still very good
I can’t say I’ve ever seen a worse inning than that top of the 5th. 5 unearned runs, blunder after blunder. I feel sick even thinking about it.A team that has won 27 Championships loses Game 5 of the World Series?
The Devils loss to San Jose last December was worse than that.
Sure it sucks now but that wouldn't be in my top 30
The 7 goal game at home? I remember that one too, was there! Yeah that one was wildly dominant too.
Fair enough, didn't look at the Score and Venue Adjusted metric, good call! With that being said though, it shouldn't be this close, especially 5v5 imo. Canucks were on the PP a lot, so I can at least understand why all strength is closer.I mean 5v5 SVA has us over 60% lol. There’s some context added right there and more closely reflects reality
Yeah the 7 goal one at home vs the Jackets in 22-23. Not to be confused with the 8 goal one at home vs the Jackets in 22-23
