I can't find the Tatar post, it got lost in the shuffle, but I'm gonna bet whenever our last game of this year is, will be his last game as a Devil.

I don't think he's coming back. I was always skeptical he was coming back, but after these playoffs? That punched the ticket.

Unless we somehow come back and he's some kind of a figure in dragging out of the mud. And in that case, he may cost more than he would have and we don't bring him back anyway lol.

May he will never figure it out, but it`s ok, not every team play like Carolina. He can be very effective against other teams.
i agree w this - i think carolina is one of very few teams that play this way

the trouble is, if teams start having huge success with this playstyle, i wonder if GMs will change team-building strategies

It’s tough seeing Carolina’s wingers actually contribute in the defensive zone because they cover the defenseman.

Devils system asks the wingers to cover an empty part of the ice and let’s the defenseman be an easy outlet.

Their wingers being higher also saves them energy and lets them have spacing in the zone on the breakout.

The Canes are cheating so hard on the Devils wrapping the pick around the boards they are leaving the middle of the ice wide open. And they keep giving it right to them along the boards.

Get the puck to a skater/stickhandler and let them carry the puck out.

Varlamov COME ON DOWN
f*** no

Too old and he'll come here and probably won't be better than Vitek this year.

He overachieved a little bit on the Islanders, but not so much this year.

He's nothing but a name at this point. Not saying he's terrible, but he's probably no upgrade.

McLeod is THE player of this playoffs to me. Could be one of the best 4th liners in the league for a long time
The best 4th liner is a not good enough 3rd liner. I'd rather he develop into a defensively-responsible 3C who can pitch in like 35 points. Preferably after we sign him to some term.
