One positive about this win streak is Nexk.

He makes good decisions with the puck and I think he'll have some offense at the NHL. Similar to Danault, his speed and smarts will bring the puck into scoring chances, even if he doesn't have the hands for fancy dangles.

We're about to be on a 18 period streak where Slaf-Suzuki-Caufield have a total of 1 goal between all 3 of them at 5 on 5.

It's beyond me why Marty's so terrified of breaking up that line, they've been a complete non factor for 2 weeks now.

...there's this old coaching trick to make a statement to a player weho isn't giving any effort...it's called THE PRESS BOX!!... :madfire:
I don’t think tough love would work with Laine but you never know. They will keep giving him chance in hope he become useful for next season push.

The team that was absolute garbage to start the season is back. This isn’t fun to watch. I’d rather be at the dentist
Honestly we are playing well enough to be leading the game. Instead here we are because we can't seem to buy a goal and are getting punished for some really dumb mistakes. It happens for a young team. The issues that plagued us early in the season (especially those loooong stretches we ended up having to defend deep in the defensive zone) are still there but they are not as prevalent at least in this game. So, progress I guess?

I don't think Habs have played that bad. Missed opportunities and was all over the devil's for a good 12 minutes or so. One chance the other way and it's a goal. I've seen this story before.

I don't follow the draft enough but he's been talked about as having legit 1C potential. If he doesn't , then I'm mistaken. We've gone back and forth enough on Suzuki to know that we're not going to agree on that front.
He most definitely does not have 1C potential. Not saying he 100% won't become one because you never know, but it's an extreme reach to claim that he's a top C.

The Patrik Laine experiment should be over already. There's a reason why Winnipeg and Columbus dumped him.
Yes he almost created the only goal for us with his one timer that the goalie couldn't handle, except Slaf couldn't put the rebound in the empty net.
