They had structure when players were playing closer to their right chairs and the team played great for two months. The fact this has changed points to problems with depth, not the coach. Marty is such an easy scapegoat.

...it's not scapegoating; the structure of their game is lacking severely, has been for a while, and Marty just plugs along with it...he's taken the kids as far as he can, imo...time for a more structured approach that actually teaches these kids to play a 200 foot game...

Laine should be available at this trade deadline.
We got paid to take him, nobody will give up an asset for him. This year is a write-off for him, he's missed so much time that he needs to recover. We entertain trading him next year, we are in zero rush.

There's no way Monty could have saved the Bratt shot, but on a shift where the team was struggling, the puck bounced to the short slot with no Devils players around within 5 feet, and instead of jumping on the puck to get a stoppage, he bats the puck into the corner.

Watch the replay, he does this like 5 seconds before the goal when the team is tired & New Jersey is mid-change. Like Price & even Dobes try to get the team a stoppage there, Montembeault forces the play to continue.

He does it all the time, and it really pisses me off about him. Create a stoppage, dude! Like f***!!!!
You are 100% right Monty always tries to keep play moving. He's not smart when it come to killing the play or handling the puck.

All you guys bag on 92 I understand some of it but Suzuki goes into the stupid pass and it goes the other way and nobody says nothing
Suzuki has been poor since he took that hit to the shoulder a couple weeks back. Timing completely off, missing the net on every shot, he needs this two week break badly.
