But this has been utterly miserable.

This isn't one of those ''Ahh, we just couldn't finish!'' we're getting dominated all game long.

We had one of our worst game of 22-23 later in the season in Buffalo. We also had a horrible loss late in the year here last year. I think we blew a multi-goal lead in that one.

I get the frustration...hes gotta score more, but he's not the worst contract in the league. Not even close.

He does everything else well, but hes gotta score on some of these.

Fully healthy and playing their game this team is excellent. They're missing some big pieces right now and have faced a lot of adversity all year. But they have trouble finishing and it's showing.

This team can be great when they play solid defensively first then build on that offensively. They look like a bunch of randoms that have never played together right now and certainly aren't playing FOR each other.

Just to put things in a perspective.

Last time a playoff game was played in Buffalo the GWG was scored by then a Philadelphia Flyer Ville Leino.. who went on to sign one of the contracts of all time with Sabres weeks later and was bought out over 10(!) years ago today.
