Do you pulll Allen now to save him for the Pens?

I don’t like the idea of Dawes against Pittsburgh.
Yes

Agree with not really wanting Daws against Pittsburgh.

For what it's worth, Daws usually starts out hot in his NHL call ups, before completely falling off.

His AHL play this year is no good, without having any analytics for the AHL to really know what's going on. But Blackwood and Clemmensen both had pretty weak AHL numbers in the same year where they had strong NHL numbers, for what it's worth.

So check it out, all the teams we really need to lose tonight are favored to lose. Not counting Montreal right now, they've died out a bit, but maybe they go on another hot streak like Detroit did after cooling off.

Islanders, Jackets, Red Wings, all favored to lose tonight, And so was Buffalo in this game.

Let's see how many of the Islanders, Jackets and Red Wings lose tonight. I'd love to see a CLEAN SWEEP again in regulation if possible. I think the Islanders winning streak ends tonight. Not sure about the other two. If Demko starts then I'm pretty sure Detroit wins, they may win anyway. Dallas has disappointed us quite a few times when we need them to beat someone. Not as much as HUMPTY, cream of the crap Utahrizona though.

And speaking of the Jackets and Sabres, I bet you anything the Jackets beat these Sabres on Tuesday.

The Devils are going to make the playoffs, some of those teams are gonna sell off by early March and get worse wihile this team is gonna get healthier + make adds. The Islanders would be the only worry but they do this every year

Yeah, it's a 24-25 Devils game to a tee. When the skaters moderately show up offensively, everything else goes awry.
It really does feel that this team faces A LOT of adversity this year. Feels like a lot more goes against them than for them. Everything seems to go against them.

Hopefully, that factor turns around as the playoffs roll around. Would be awesome.

This team is only 5 points up on the Jackets who have a game in hand.

This is becoming an utter failure on the GMs part to not address any of the issues this team has, thanks to his doing, 2 months ago when ever loss in the month was a shutout.

Ignores the late December stretch they had where they looked like the 95' Devils for the narrative, lol

I agree most of those teams will fall off.

It just feels like there's two really hot ones every week. First it was Detroit, then it was Montreal, now it's the Islanders and Detroit again.

Detroit and the Islanders are actually 1 and 2 in toughest remaining strength of schedule. We were 8th coming into this game, but will almost definitely jump up at least one spot after this game against humpty Buffalo and after humpty Pittsburgh and Montreal this week, I'd have to think we're in the top 5 for the rest of the year coming out of the break.

That's maybe not as alarming as if we were the 25th toughest remaining strength of schedule, with how we do against these loser teams.

It's over 60° here in KS so I have the windows open, doing some early spring cleaning and haven't been paying much attention to the game. What is going on so far? Is Allen playing bad, the team looking like dog shit?

The Jackets have barely lost for a month, why would you expect a large gap between us and them?

I'd honestly put Palat at the bottom of troubling contracts with term right now.

Dougie, Dillon, then Palat. And depending on what happens with Haula, he looks like he may be toast, but only a year left after this.

Dougie is still useful to some extent, but not with how much he makes.

These games are so embarrassing to watch. after last weekend's two no-shows here is the next one. This is simply not a playoff team since christmas.

I'm usually the first guy to point at Allen/the goalie, but I don't know about this one.

First was kind of a bad rebound, but I don't know, I've seen way worse. I don't think I've nailed a goalie on that many.

Goal 2? Definitely not.

Goal 3? Would you like a save on a breakaway? Yeah. But how many breakaways have we allowed this game? There was basically TWO on that power play. He stopped the first one.

I'd pull him, but only to get Daws some work.

I don't wanna throw Daws into a game another loser, suck, humpty, chump team on Tuesday. Unless he's good the rest of this game, and even then I'd still be hesitant.
Who are you and what did you do to Bleed?

Let me fix that for you: MAKE A SAVE SHITBAG!

:sarcasm:

If you're not gonna put Daws in this game, I don't really know if it's a great idea to put him in there against Pittsburgh.

We NEED the Pittsburgh game if we don't win this one.

And then we have Vegas after them, who somehow seem far less scary to us than Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Montreal.

GREAT start to the period.
