One positive from last night was Luke kicking ass in third period. It seemed like every time he had the puck he made things happen.

Teams are taking out our top players. He was a monster.
Also watching the Jack incident again, he grabs his head immediately. Thinking maybe we’re talking concussion instead of shoulder injury.
Just hit the local Chipotle.Bought tickets on Wednesday to tomorrows game in Chicago....apparently to see McLeod as 1C f***ing hell

bro huh? how is gary bettman to blame for jack hughes falling full speed into the boards lol.Teams are taking out our top players.
And they also made a concerted effort to try and do the same to Bratt.
Is this the NHL Bettman wants? Where the NHL's top players get injured?
I wish our owners would give more than two sh*ts about this and say something to Bettman.
I mean...the Devils might as well sign someone off the street for a game and tell him to purposely injure an opposing team's star player since Buttman is letting this sh*t go.
Just like the Kovy Contract fiasco, maybe if the DEVILS do this, Buttman will act finally.
I’m skeptical the follow up hit on the next shift is why Jack left the game.
I think it had to do with the initial crash into the boards.
The point is for me it's oct/Nov, these aren't playoff or must win games and Nico and Jack both clearly shouldn't have been sent back out there. There's no reason to even risk either of them getting hurt more. The trainers and coaches are supposed be there to protect the players from themselves. It's just absolutely unnecessary.
How many times are guys sent out for the next shift, still injured, and don't incur further injury and keep playing? A lot more than I think we'd all like to realize.
Absolutely but these were definitely significant events with both players clearly taken a beating and being down on the ice, they both even looked worse when you watch the replays.
Hindsight is 20/20 and all that but if I'm in charge I'm never playing any player, let alone a star player right away after either of those situations. The bigger picture should always be looked at instead of the temporary lets win this 2 points in oct/nov outlook.
But that’s like the entire reason why there are supposed to be protocols in place that take the player and team out of the equation. I guess we still don’t know if it’s head or shoulder or whatever, but you’d imagine slamming your head into a wall and staying down for minutes would trigger some type of process like the NFL has in place. While I agree with this in general and it's how I would try to run things, this just isn't the way star players are wired, nor organizations.
Nothing but respect on our around the league boards on the fox injury. Probably the Neanderthals and children on social media are the ones laughing about Fox which every fanbase hasSaid it yesterday....Elliot Friedman or one of those pundits will have the scoop somehow before the rest....
Praying Jack is ok and not out long...guessing news comes out tonight or early tomorrow.
There's also a narrative going around that Devils fans are happy that Fox is hurt from that Aho hit? Strange...
Yeah it's all over twitter or X or whatever you call it now....I and others are like....no one sees any Devils fan saying this anywhere....Nothing but respect on our around the league boards on the fox injury. I think even moreso with the Nico hit where it was all head, and how he reacted to it.But that’s like the entire reason why there are supposed to be protocols in place that take the player and team out of the equation. He obviously does have a close contact, possibly right in the medical department, as he correctly said Nico was expected to be back after he left that Islanders game and missed practice the next day. Then he came back and got killed by worthless Clifton in his second game back.Said it yesterday....Elliot Friedman or one of those pundits will have the scoop somehow before the rest....

Just hope it's positive...dont give a damn about the game tomorrow.....Just hope its less than a week.He obviously does have a close contact, possibly right in the medical department, as he correctly said Nico was expected to be back after he left that Islanders game and missed practice the next day. Maybe he has some info on both of them. That would be nice.
