Glass 5 pts in 5 gms as a Devil

Timo 5 goals in 9 gms in March

Bratt 18 pts in 13 gms since Jack injury

It seems that we're not seeing the Devils minus a bunch of guys.

Instead it feels like a different team vs December. The Oilers win was probably the best example of it. This new team is far from great, but it can be good and if running on all cylinders with no more guys going down-- could do some damage.

It's not the preferred route in any way, but it's sort of fun to see the team morph and win some games.

All of which has to happen in order for the Devils to maintain their playoff spot .
The big dogs had to step up and pick up the production. Bratt and Meier has done this . I’m not bitching about Nico’s play but it would be nice if he picked up his production as well along with Bratt and Meier .
In order for us to have any success at all , Bratt Meier and Nico have to carry this team . Luke getting back to the peak he was performing at earlier in the season wouldn’t hurt either lol . He was a beast for a stretch leading up to the Christmas break. For whatever reason, he hasn’t got ba k to that level of play since then . I’m not sure if it’s nagging injuries or lack of confidence or what it is . But having him get back to that level of play would help us have a chance against whomever we play in the first round . Beast mode Luke was awesome to watch . I just wish he started playing like that again and it’s frustrating him not playing ant that elite level anymore . Hopefully he finds that level again here soon

There’s certainly a lot of parallels between 2025 Allen and Kinkaid’s 2018. Even funnier that Schneider and Markstrom both seemed to get injured around the same week in January and both returned around virtually the same week in March from injury.

Schneider left the game injured in the 2nd period on January 23rd and his first game back was on March 1st. Markstrom left the 2nd period injured on January 22nd and his first game back was on March 2nd.

Glass possibly* being Zubrus 2.0 is keeping me flying high fammmm
I approve this message.

But then again sadly there’s a handful of TDL acquisitions across the league every year where a player is on fire for the rest of the season and turns back into what they always were the next season. Devante Smith-Pelly was one of several of those for the Devils. Peter Mueller is another disappointing one in Colorado

what are Jesper bratts numbers since Jack went down? Hes really come to play

also what are Cody Glass's stats since coming here...I know I can google but this is more fun

The above graphic INCLUDES the goal that Bratt scored last night.

In fact, I have to say that THAT goal was, imo, the make-up goal for the one he should've scored earlier that ended up hitting iron.

EDIT : @Comparison Ford , hope you appreciate me answering your question. 🙂

I gave Allen enough shit early on, much like Kinkaid in 17-18, but he's kind of like this season's Kinkaid, only he's probably been a little better than Kinkaid was that year. Kinkaid was pretty meh until about February. Allen was meh in November through early January, but only played like a half a dozen games in that span.
He's better than Kinkaid because I have no desire to combat him (Allen) on Twitter(X) and risk getting burned again. So he's actually lucky, too. :sarcasm:

Nemec looking more and more like bust and another god awful pick by Tom. Thank god we kept him and Mercer and didn’t use them to go after Cozens, which apparently was the ask.

Forget Cozens.

I was pounding the table for Shane Wright and was shouted down back then (and was forced to agree with the masses here).

Now it seems that Shane is turning out to be the better draft pick from that 2022 class between the two.

I am so frustrated. 👺

He wasnt year ago. Nemec is playing after injury in much harder situation for young defenseman. More competition, more expectation. People were okay with every mistake Luke Hughes made year ago because we were in different situation. And he did much more mistakes and looked worser as defenseman even with better offensive impact.
They are young. Wright isn't doing something special at all. He is playing limited minutes 5 on 5 and no pk and has strong negative impact on the ice. He will be better. And Nenec too. He played better in harder role year ago than Wright is doing now. Just wait.

On moneypuck Jake Allen is third in the league in overall GSAx behind Hellebuyck and Thompson, and 6th in GSAx per 60 among goalies that have played at least 1 game. He’d be third of out of goalies that have played at least 5 games and first out of goalies who have played more than 8 games.

Nico Daws is first in GSAx per 60 of goalies who have played at least 5 games. Funny that Akira Schmid is third on this list for goalies who have played at least 1 game. Which is all he’s played and it was only a relief appearance.

This is probably one of the best years Allen has had in the NHL.

i only saw the first period, but checking the score it seems like a good gritty road win. allen is delivering the playoffs to us on a platter.
That third period was a blast! Imagine if the sound your intestines make when moving shit through them could play hockey—that’s how we looked in the third. I was 99% sure we were going to lose with like 5 minutes left in the game.
