Washington was middle of the pack in HDCA in all situations and 9th in chances against. We were 4th and 12th in those categories respectively. It shouldn't be that bad.

This is a perfectly fine trade. Goaltending needed an upgrade in some capacity and we got one. Whether it is a significant enough upgrade will only tell with time.
But this had to be done.
I can't recall a time in my life where goaltending has been so average to below average league wide.

Y’all gotta read the fine print, yes we gave up a second but we got a second back. For all intents and purposes they gave up a third and dropped back nine spots in the second, basically the value of dropping back a few spots in the second is something like an additional fourth or fifth.
