It looks like he is a center first not just a can play center guy. That’s the position he played in the AHL. Who knows if that’s a possibility or consideration at the NHL level.

Lombardi is electric with some of the things he can do with the puck on his stick. He is an excellent skater. His shot is very good and his vision and playmaking are excellent. A wizard and specialist in the shootout too.

I honestly think even his numbers in the AHL were suppressed because the org was force feeding Danielson (also Center) up the lineup and on the PP. Along with veteran AHL centre Sheldon Dries. Could easily have been well north of a P/PG in a better situation .

That's good to hear. NJ needs young centers. I am surprised that Yzerman is turning out to be somewhat stubborn as a GM. It's been a long drought in Detroit and I don't wish ill on the long suffering fans. Maybe it's time to move him to president and bring in a new GM?

We were hoping with our new GM that we'd see these types of moves, under the radar value on the cheap stuff. Who knows if will pan out but it's minimal on our part.
