Nemec was on Daws team and skates smoothly, used stick well. Didn't see much offensively but the team he was on was underpowered. It was notably him and holtz and a few okay prospects/tryouts

You gotta remember its a 3 on 3. Every 5 in 5 scrimmage I went to our top pick from that draft year stood out. Hughes stood out the most but Ty Smith looked like a stud as well. 5 on 5 will be a better indicator for Nemec. I expect him to impress Friday night and I can't wait to see it live lol.

I thought all the draft picks showed well. Casey is probably the best skater and skill guy of the bunch and looked great 3v3. It will be interesting to see the difference 5v5 as Nemec didn't look better than any of them - but not worse either. Goals from Casey and Leddy in games. Leddy impressed with his passing - sprang his teammates for a bunch of opportunities. Brennan looked good the first few games but let in a few he should have had in the final. You could tell the boys are not in game shape as they were pretty gassed by the end. Wonder when Nemec will sign - looks like other top pics already have with their teams.

How was the event itself yesterday? I would have liked to have gone to it if it wasn't for the fact it was just horrible timing being in the middle of the UFA crucible lol, I wouldn't have paid a whiff of attention once the JG news came down.

I don't see why he wouldn't though. The level of competition right now is like miles below what he's been against all year long and he just came off a great wc.

That's not to say he's gunna get like 50 points though. I'm sure he'll look really good.
