I doubt we draft with the Islanders pick

itll be very late in the 1st and that player likely wouldnt show up for 3-4 seasons. Thats not how you insulate your young talent you already have

unless we cant, that pick should be moved for actual help and not a shot in the dark in a terrible draft year

Biggest downside to this draft year is the lack of playing time so many prospects will have. I think in the future we may look back on this draft and see a lot of players picked deep that if they had played more would have been noticed and gone much higher.

That’s why I’m completely onboard with making a selection with that Islanders pick. There are gonna be some later gems for sure.

I like this move, definitely means we’re trading atleast one of kulikov or Murray possibly both but he’s an NHL defencemen with good size who’s an rfa and fits into our age group.

Why do you think he compliments Jack’s game? I don’t see it at all.

Nuge wins pucks battles and has the IQ and vision to capitalize on Jacks setups as well as feed him pucks too. He routinely finds the soft spots on the ice and gets there when he needs to and can play with pace. His shot is EXTREMELY underrated. He would also help our PP as an added benefit.

2016 ended up being a rough draft for forwards after 1OA. The defensemen are having looking even better with Girard and Fox joining McAvoy, Sergachev etc Still it’s a rough year consider how good 2015 was and while people crap all 2017 it looks better to me.
