definite bs injury alert

Cory's injured.

I mentioned in the GDT that on the first goal the other night his lack of movement was highly unusual & obvious. The people derping "no he jus sux" comments were wrong. The bigger question is, why did he play if he wasn't 100% in the first place?

I'm having flashbacks of Malahkov, Mogilny and McGillis "injuries" with this Schneider abdomen strain. I guess Lou taught Shero a thing or two about IR management while he was still here.

That's unfortunately not how it works. It would take 2 weeks of injury (or 6 games missed) for Schneider to be eligible to go to Binghamton on a conditioning loan, so if he isn't actually hurt, he'd just be training for 2 weeks.

Thank you for this information. Is there any team penalty for putting a player on IR when the player is not hurt? Who checks out the injury? Are you saying that Cory could have ridden the bench for 6 games or two weeks and then could go to Bing for conditioning? What's the benefit of doing that vs this IR? Thanks for educating me.

I remember your comment. Maybe he got hurt during that goal? So he wasn't hurt when he started but he was when he left the game? Now the IR?

Nobody told me there'd be days like these...

If this was the NFL we would find out in two weeks he has an abdominal hernia. With Cory’s hip injury history it’s hard to know if there is a connection to an abdominal strain but it’s possible it’s a compensation injury of some sort.

I mean these guys are professional athletes, they have a very high level of compete. Cory is going threw it, I believe its possible he was keeping the injury hidden because he wanted to get back on his game and he needed to play to do that. Maybe he didnt think it would effect him as much.

Knew he was still injured.... was very obvious.

He still sucks, but you could tell he was playing in pain.

If Cory did that it’s highly irresponsible and frankly selfish. You don’t keep throwing yourself out there to get shelled while you’re injured and costing the team wins.
