Prospect Info: Development Camp ‘23

Today was a fairly easy
Some quick notes on day 1
Edward, love his effort, kid gets it
Langenbrunner, looks like he could do drills all day
Artsatbanov, thought he was excellent ,let's see if he can maintain it
Nassen reminds me a little bit of Peter Cehlarik but with a harder shot
Pelosi, finished strong, doesn't look 6'2 but I'm encouraged by what I saw, he doesn't suck
Hendrickson, solid, polished
Kostadinski is 6'5 215 and skates like it, his poke check comes out like a harpoon ,massive, long way to go,reminds me of Denis Reul
As I said earlier, 10 coach's on the ice, basically 2 players per coach, I recognized 8 of them, not sure who the other 2 are
McQuaid and Lohrei are always together
Can't wait to see Locmelis play for U Mass
Tomorrow will be a grind
Denis Reul reference! Love it. When I saw Divver's (I think) tweet I thought to myself, "sounds like Denis Reul".

I wish they would leave Harrissson at C and not move him to wing. They always try to make players play in positions secondary to thier natural position. I feel like players regress when this happens

Poitras is right there with the best I’ve seen at DC in the zone 3 on 3. He had everything- he’s smallish side 5’10. Like Spooner size - not as dynamic a skater but better with puck

He’s either a really good top 1 or 2 center or not in nhl

90 % I would put it start at center

This guy can snipe - it’s insane. I’ve read others at camp can but he is like Joey Chestnut eating hot dogs or Pete Alonso in a home run contest - I’ll take Harrison

I actually was trying to find him to watch him shoot during drills

He looks pretty big and solid - absolutely simplify it and let him do his thing

I could be wrong, but I thought he was mostly a W in Juniors as well?

Dom, any idea?
Mostly Wing this past season, yes.

It's where he belongs IMO. He just hasn't been able to achieve the defensive responsibilities a center has to have at any level I've watched. I've only been watching him since 2016 though, so what do I know?

Appears the Bruins want him on the wing so that's good enough for me. I trust their judgement more than mine.

Anyway, I think we all agree Merkulov, Beecher, Poitras, Zacha and Kuntar (and anyone else they bring in in the next couple of years) should play down the middle. Someone's got to move to wing. You can't have 7 centremen and 5 wingers.

Harrison is #60 defending against Poitras #51. Yes, it's only practice, but I see that performance in actual games. The goal highlights on Twitter are great. But when you watch games in their entirety, you see the stuff Conner Ryan tweeted their.

Similar to my annual “look out for Zboril!” after the first preseason game.
Jordan Caron is going to be a stud.
Zach Senyshyn was a great puck with his speed and shot.
Shayne Stevenson could be a Shane Corson clone.

And on and on it goes. They better look good against their peers, let's wait to see what they look like against NHL players

I like the mean part

The Globe adding young hockey writers Connor Ryan & Matt Porter is outstanding

I recommend following or reading both

It was fun to be at Warrior today…especially to meet a few HFboards faithful. I finally met @DKH who came prepared with various Bruins lore.

As for the players, Lohrei, Poitras and Duran looked solid. Myrenberg is smooth and looks like a player. Even Langenbrunner has taken a step.

All goalies were sharp.

Not saying they would, but by rule could they sign the Ukrainian goalie, and let him go play in Juniors or Europe for this year.

He'd have to be selected in tomorrow's CHL import draft to play in major junior. And he hasn't been selected in the USHL Draft so that it not an option either.

They could sign him and loan him to a European club.
