1. Trevor Connelly (Forward)
Our 16th ovr pick from this past draft immediately takes the to spot in our prospect poll. This was a tough pick with the debate being between Hage and Connelly and we decided on the player that we believe has the higher potential that being Connelly.

Potential: first Line Winger

2. Alfons Freij (Defenceman)

Potential: #3 D

3. Sam O'Reilly (Forward)

Potential: ceiling top 6 center but we feel the more realistic out come is an elite 3rd line center.

4. Igor Cheryneshov (Forward)

Potential: Top 6 Power forward This player was very high on our list and we were shocked to have him fall to us at 41.

5. Jack Peart (Defenceman)

Potential: #4 D, This smooth skating 2 way dman was aquired a crucial piece coming back to us in the Debrincat trade as we fell he still has the potential to be a 2 way force.

6. Jayden Perron (Forward)

Potential: Top 6 forward, Perron struggled in his first year at North Dakota but he still produced 11 goals and 18 points in 38 games with limited ice time, Perron also flashed the high skill level that made him a must get at 23rd ovr last year and he is set to get more ice time this upcoming year.

7. Alexei Kolosov (Goalie)

Potential: Starter, Put up good numbers will see how he does in the AHL this upcoming season if he stays in north America.

8. Timur Mukhanov (Forward)

Potential: Top 6 Forward, Mukhanov had a decent year in the KHL this past year with 14 points in 60 games in limited minutes. W still believe Mukhanov still has top 6 upside as it is most likely his only path to the NHL.

9. Miguel Marques (Forward)

Potential: top 9 scorer

10. Paul Ludwinski (Forward)

Potential: Bottom 6 checker, We will see how his first pro season goes as their could be some offensive potential to be found.

11. Jeremie Poirier (Defenceman)

Potential: #5 D with PP time, A skate cut forced him to miss much of the season could see time with the Flames this season

12. Jayson Shaugabay (Forward)

Potential: Top 9 forward, Had a good season in the USHL will see how he does in the NCAA this upcoming season.

16. Blake Montgomerey (Forward)

17. Mac Swanson (Forward)

Potential: Top 6 forward boom/bust, a very small but also very skilled player had one of the best draft eligible years in recent years.

18. Thomas Mrsic (Forward)

Potential: Top 6 forward, We were shocked to see Mrsic still on the board come day 2, we contemplated taking him in the 2nd but decided to hold off needs to learn to drive pace more and get to the middle of the ice more often one of the most skilled players in the draft.

19. Arshdeep Bains (Forward)

Potential: Bottom 6/ Pk guy, saw some NHL time with the canucks this past year, could get more of a chance this upcoming season.

O'Reilly was a guy I had targeted in this most recent draft, so I'll be knocking on your virtual door with trade offers for him in the future, I'm sure. Connelly of course is likely to hit if he continues to mature.
