If Detroit trades guys away it will begin with it as and guys with just a year left.

Green
Vanek
Miller
Smith
Tatar

I think tatar would be a good fit in Ana..

Fowler stock is way up and i doubt they would want to pay that price if they didnt want to pay the original price.

Vatanen is movable and i think tatar is a good start point but i think its a pretty significant add.

Montour larsson and theodore are all great prospects but likely undervalued in trade value so i think the safer bet is to keep them and let them increase their value.

I still think the teams make ideal trade partners and would be interesting to see if anything happens

Interested in Nyquist. I know he's a RW but can he play LW at all?

He could play his natural position at LW if need be, But he's better situated at RW.

Vanek? You guys don't want to trade him at the TDL?

He's definitely available, If we're out of a playoff spot by a wide margin at the TDL. He would definitely be our biggest trade chip.

Alexander Edler+ for a package of some of those players would be interesting.

I think the Alex Edler to Detroit, Ship has sailed long ago. Holland is looking for much younger D men then Edler. Don't see Holland having any more interest in Edler.

What do you want for Mike Green?

Yeah more then likely what the Rangers paid for Yandle, Would be a pretty fair comparable of what we would be seeking for Mike Green.

From reading the various threads, it seems like a lot of Wings fans think Holland needs to make up his mind whether he wants to finally launch a true rebuild or tread water and reload on the fly (which doesn't seem to work)(and could be asked of Vancouver as well). Is that fair to say?

Absolutely zero interest in Edler. You are also talking about the longest tenured GM in the NHL who has performed the fewest trades. Its barely even worth discussing trades. If you want a second rounder for a washed up forward at the deadline Holland is your man.

The only trade that makes sense for the wings now is a young D with top pairing potential and Nyquist and Tatar are not going to bring that so,,,, stalemate.

I would be happy to see a blue chip D prospect and some picks for Green. But I am in th e camp that is ready for a rebuild.

Even though i think this team pretty much needs to go through a total rebuild, Ownership the Illitches namely Christopher Illitch just wont allow it going into the new Arena in 2017 Little Caesars Arena. The entire D core needs a massive upgrade no true #1 D man or really #2 as well. Time and time has told us that total rebuilds don't necessarily work for a long time and Edmonton is case in point. It can take up to 10 years and longer. Should've started the rebuild once Lidstrom retired awhile back. I know Holland has pretty much said grudgingly that he opposes any kind of rebuild for now and it sounds like the Illitches wont allow it any ways.

Ceci and a 2017 2nd for Nyquist?

No thanks? Pretty sure that Nyquist would be the last player we move. And i doubt that Ottawa has any interest in moving Cody Ceci any ways. Don't see Holland trading Nyquist nor do i see Ottawa trading Ceci like Detroit Ottawa needs D and i don't see Ottawa trading away on of their better young D men.

Would love Tatar or Nyquist on the Canes. Canes need a scorer and both players are familiar with Bill Peters.

Doubt the Canes give up any of their current young NHL Defensemen but Haydn Fleury or Jake Bean may be on the table.

I would do something around Tatar for Bean
