To Detroit:
Connor Bedard
To Chicago:
Patrick Kane
1st Round Pick
Why Detroit does (this): Connor Bedard, while he has been slumping and (is) a little small, is one of the most exciting young players to enter the league in a few years and would really help the Yzerplan look better. Adding Bedard to the mix of the other forwards like Raymond, Larkin, Debrincat, and Kasper with the young D of Seider and Edvinsson would make for a really good core and Patrick Kane is getting older with not too much more left in the tank so that and (a) 1st would not be too high of a price to pay.
Why Chicago does this: Their rebuild so far hasn't quite gone to plan and their offense right now looks like a (joke). They're not getting as many people coming to the games as they used to and Patrick Kane and his low cap hit would help change that as he's a legend there. He'd have to waive his NTC but I think he would to go back to the place he won all of those cups and play with the other young talent they have coming for more cups. Bedard has been struggling, he might not be a true center, he's on the smallish side, and his body language hasn't been great so why not sell him now to bring back a legend?
They have plenty of other young talent coming up and I think a guy who won 3 cups in a Blackhawks jersey would be the perfect guy to mentor them as they grow. Also Detroit would probably be around top 10 pick territory so the Hawks could use that 1st round pick for another asset. What do you guys think?
