Bad for Detroit. This is literally why they traded Hronek away. A guy who will not supplant Seider on the top pair who would, in 2 years, be asking for a huge raise in salary.

The Hronek deal to Vancouver is probably what you would expect in return, as well. So start there with the framework. Mid 1st rounder + 2nd rounder.

The value doesn’t seem to be astronomically apart here, but Flames fans and hopefully management will be targeting a high end prospect in any trade for Andersson. He is one of our last great trade chips and moving him also signifies a complete gut job/scorched Earth rebuild.

He doesn’t have to be moved now under valued just for the purpose of tanking. Conroy should wait as long as he needs to, up to TDL 2026 to get what he needs to continue the franchise in the right direction.
