Wonder if any teams would move a top 6 or top 4 d-man in the 24-28 year old range for Detroits 1st in this years draft. In all likelihood it’s going to be between 8-12.

I mean slaf or suzuki but that ain’t happening, don’t see Detroit and Montreal as good trade partners at all. Playing in same division doesn’t help mattersTo better understand the type of player you are targeting, who from the Habs fits this ask?
We are not trading our likely top 10 first for Scott mayfield lolScott Mayfield would be substantially cheaper and he shoots right. He is however a top 6 d-man.
I think you are asking for way too much for a 8-12 pick in this draft class. Would you deal Raymond or Seider for that pick? A more realistic scenario would be a team wanting to move up because there is a player they really like available and will deal a player or prospect to do so. As an example, Montreal liked someone available with the Detroit pick and offers someone like Newhook, Dach, Mailloux or Engstrom plus the better of their 1st round picks.I mean slaf or suzuki but that ain’t happening, don’t see Detroit and Montreal as good trade partners at all. I wasn’t talking about trading a 1st for him. He’s just a cheaper option than moving a 1st as a RHD. Then again teams almost never move top 4 defenseman in the 24-28 range unless they’re risking overpaying them.We are not trading our likely top 10 first for Scott mayfield lol
Trust me I think those guys are worth a lot more than that pick, that’s why I didn’t see a fit. Newhook is a solid player, but the wings kinda need a bigger difference maker then himI think you are asking for way too much for a 8-12 pick in this draft class. Anyone on Montreal I’d want is worth more than our 1st, anyone you want to get rid of is not good enough to get our 1st. Nobody is trading a 1st to negotiate with a pending UFA.Neal Pionk could potentially be had during the draft for that pick
As a wings fan I would definitely get behind thisRasmus Andersson
I don’t see a team moving a guy in that age range for an 18 year old that you have to wait like 3 years on. GM very likely not around when or if the kid makes the roster.Wonder if any teams would move a top 6 or top 4 d-man in the 24-28 year old range for Detroits 1st in this years draft. It would not be. He’s not worth a top 10 pick.I could see the Flyers being interested in Detroit's #1 for Cam York. Don't know if the interest would be reciprocated.
Harder to acquire non-rentals at the TDL though. If Yzerman didn't trade that pick at the TDL to help a playoff push, he probably isn't trading it at the draft.
What about Yzerman's actions in free agency make you think he is capable of or even wants to acquire anybody good there? It all depends on who is available. Has to be someone who is a legit upgrade to the roster that can't be acquired in Free Agency.
Done, send the paperwork please.Rasmus Andersson
