Post-Game Talk: Destroyed by Veggies

I can't say if he initially stumbled but are you saying he hurt himself? If not hurt or tired why not skate back after his stumble? I could be 100% wrong but based on his previous plays over the years in similar situations I just felt like he mailed it in. Some guys will give 100% on offense but only 40% on defense.

I have to say I have no clue where you got "he hurt himself" from "he stumbled". He took a bad step initially and then was off balance and Lehkonen blew by him. He obviously could have skated harder from that point on though.

Borgen goes from hero to zero
But.
Mistakes happen
What happens after the mistake is what really matters
Panarin has to take down that guy or at least TRY to skate
Disgusting effort
Panarin did nothing for 55 minutes then scored and then went back to sleep. I've seen him literally stand there with his hands at his sides in the defensive zone

I'm asking you if that was part of your theory because just stumbling by itself would not be an excuse for Bread not to hustle. If he was not tired and he stumbled then he still should have hustled back imo.

PLEASE FIRE THIS DUMB MFER LAVIOLETTE. ENOUGH OF HIM. THIS STUPID **** KEEPS PUTTING ZIBANEJAD AND KREIDER ON THE PP. FIRE HIM!!! FIRE THIS SHITHEAD. I CANT STAND HIM. ITS INEXPLICABLE AT THIS POINT. YOU COST THIS TEAM POINTS BECAUSE YOU ARE A f***ING CUCK.

AND f*** YOU PANARIN. GTFO THE ICE. TWICE HE DID THAT TODAY! TWICE!! GTFO YOU SELFISH PRICK.

That is the type of loss that can end a season. f*** this team. That was unconscionable!!!!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. f*** YOU SELFISH LOSERS.
can someone explain to me how this is Miller's fault? i just don't see it.
With 24 seconds left and only a few seconds left on the power play, Lav put 2 Dmen out on the ice to protect against what actually happened. Miller decided to go to the corner to get the puck, instead of protecting against what actually happened.

nah, you're describing turtling. opponent can't score if you're possessing the puck. they had possession and a terrible pass turned it over at the worst time in the worst spot to the worst guy.

Zibanejad doesn’t deserve to play. That was a joke of an effort. Guy is a total loser. Kreider looks like he needs a wheelchair out there. And yet that stupid POS Laviolette keeps running them out there on the PP. ENOUGH
What I don’t get about having Kreider out there on the pp, is that he isn’t even attempting to tip shots anymore, nor screen the goalie. What the heck is he doing, looking for rebounds. His lack of effectiveness is killing the pp in my view. Heck, put Rempe out there.

Don't want to come across as picking on Miller, BUT, normally in a tie game with a minute left, to guard against the breakaway pass to the guy coming out of the box, one defenseman drops back to the red line. You see it all the time. Goalie bangs his stick, a D pulls out of the zone. Especially when the guy in the box is all world. You can argue that Borgen shouldn't have even entered the zone. You could also argue that Miller shouldn't have dropped it back which forced Borgen to stay in there.

Miller was in there to play defense and he was at his own blue line. If he was where he should have been, the 3 on 1 would have been a 3 on 2 because of his speed. He has to stay back in this situation. The pass was bad, having Borgen on the ice in that situation was bad, Miller’ decision was bad.

This one is way more on Shesty and Panarin. Call for the puck, stand around pouting on a back check with 20 seconds left in a tie game? And Shesty. Dude, you just ran the team through the grinder for your giant ass payday to become the highest paid goalie in hockey history. The least you could do is not shit yourself 25% of the games you play, or maybe be slightly higher than 25th in the league in goals against.

I don't think he was tired. Trocheck and Kreider hadn't changed at that point either. The takeaway was only 58 seconds after the timeout. I think he stumbled when Lehkonen made a move around him. You can see he's skating weird kind of off balance leaning forward.

Skating weird? He could barely move he was so gassed, lol.

Not absolving Zib's plays but the cross ice passes he's getting are less than good. They are mostly muffin passes that by the time they reach him he's got no time and space anymore

I’m not sure what people expect Lavi to do with Mika and Kreider. Like these the horses he has, the team isn’t going anywhere without those two contributing

There he is. I missed you.

Every win will be crickets and every loss will be on the goalie no matter how many PPs we f*** up, odd-man rushes we give up, how many D-zone turnovers, how many sprawling one-tee split saves across the crease he makes, gifts from the hockey gods in the name of posts and even a goal called back. Doesn't matter if it's Igor or Quick, it's all the goalie's fault for the shortcomings of the scrubs in front of him.
