I would say that instead of using assets to acquire Hamilton, Carolina might've tried to get Mark Stone with an extension. I think that we'd have been alright regardless, but I'm glad that we finally got lottery ball magic after years of futility there.

I'm a huge fan of Stone but there's literally no way that would have happened, IMO. Dahlin is still a massive talent, just not as good as expected. But we still would have taken him.
