btw i want to point something out: the original The Mighty Ducks has a genuinely excellent opening sequence- in it, an insane man tells a ten year old boy that if he doesn't make the shot, he'll be letting down his dead father. It's so intense and f***ed up and perfectly sets up the protagonist, the antagonist and the central conflict and theme of the film. All in the opening credits!
