GDT: Despite what it looked like last night, we are not playing the Maulers tonight, it’s the Stars

Really mystifying why Nachos passes up good opportunities some times...
I get what he was going for, it was a decent opportunity but if his move worked it's 2-1, but he definitely still needs to learn when to play the odds and the odds were better of his initial look working than they were of the play he was attempting working.

I really wish the nhl rulebook was more publicly available. But some googling found these two examples:

Rule 42 of the NHL rulebook dictates that charging "shall mean the actions of a player or goalkeeper who, as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A 'charge' may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal frame or in open ice."

Official NHL Charging Rule Text (Rule 607)
“Charging is the action where a player takes more than two strides or travels an excessive distance to accelerate through a body check for the purpose of punishing the opponent. This includes skating or leaving one’s feet (jumping) into the opponent to deliver a check, accelerating through a check for the purpose of punishing the opponent, or skating a great distance for the purpose of delivering a check with excessive force.”

Same thing happened with the Bruins in the playoffs. Now Benn helps create a goal. Gutless team.

Yeah so at what point do we probe into why and how the over-arching organizational culture of this team is gutlessness? I mean how many years of this do we have to go through. Maybe enough people haranguing Dundon and the Canes account on Twitter will wake them up to this. You guys watch a lot of other teams- I don't. Are there other teams who have their shit pushed in and just take it?
