Tom Gaglardi in a radio hit today says he doesnt expect Miro to be back until sometime during the first round.

Despite the combined available cap space of 17mil from Miro and Seguin, Gaglardi expressed that the Stars are not looking to add anything major or are probably just going to add depth pieces.

Gaglardi expressed that he probably wont even be in the WAR room on Friday because his understanding is that the Stars are pretty much done shopping.


Kinda surprising to me since Dallas is a cup contender. Thoughts on the Stars not looking to take advantage of the LTIR cap space?

I feel like this is the Stars chance to really go for it. I don't get why they're playing it so conservative. They have an incredible crop of under 25 players. Just sell the farm a bit to get a top-4 RD and really make a push for the cup

And get what, exactly? I can see them maybe getting an upgrade at backup goalie and maybe another bottom 6 forward, but nothing to break the bank over.

The Stars need defense. What top 4 defensman is available that won’t break the bank in the coming years. These young guys need new contracts. I would have liked to see them go after Jones but other than that I don’t really see an upgrade unless Pittsburg or a 3rd team really retains.
