Speculation: Derick Brassard – will he find a new home and reach 1000 games?

If Dvorak gets moved, I'm betting Habs will sign him to C the 4th line.

If not, still might end up in Mtl on a pto and be brought in to fill depth/injury needs... if he hasn't lined up something else by camp.

He's looked about as you would have expected - 3rd/4th line guy with experience in the Top 6, can fill in there in a pinch if you have injuries but realistically a bottom 6 winger at this point. Probably paces for 30-35 points over 82 games.

I genuinely thought he would be the 13th forward all year but with Norris going down after 2 weeks, he got his shot to impress DJ and he did - even at his age he has been better than most of our bottom 6 guys.

Still think he's a bottom end 3rd liner on a playoff bubble team like Ottawa, but I think he could have helped a contender on their 4th line.

No surprise he wasn't traded - sounds like he is gearing up for a front office position after retiring, whether it's in Gatineau where he owns a part of the Olympiques, or with Ottawa in the big club (like Spez in T.O.)
