I think we are going to love this guy

so RW depth is now Nash, Callahan, Dorsett, Asham ?

I do think the team is more balanced for sure

Kenny Albert @KennyAlbert
One of the 4 new @NYRangers - Derek Dorsett (pronounced DOOR-sit, not like Tony Dorsett) - led the NHL with 235 PIM last season.

didnt realized that Dorsett had an "A" on his jersey.. i guess thats a good thing but Brashear also had an "A" on the Capitals... :help:

Jackets fan coming in peace. Re: Dorsett - this guy will win your hearts quickly. He's someone who never gives up and will give 110% every night. Hasn't been a scoring dynamo in the past by any means but he's slowly finding his offensive footing. Best of luck to him.

How's his physical play, hitting/checking?

Did he play on the penalty kill for CBJ? If so, how was he at that?

Thanks.

Oh yeah, this dis a tough *******. He will become a favorite of mine like Prust was.

Clowe and Dorsett are the types of players I like..Jose 2 playts will be big here n NY

Would you say similar to Steve Downie?

Seen lots of Dorsett out here in the west.... He's like Chris Neil lite. Good player and good pickup by Rangers. Always wanted him on my team (Oilers).

He can fight. He dishes out hits. He has some offensive skill. Decent defensively. Kind of a pest as well.

Similar to Neil or a Sean Avery with better character and a bit less offense

The only time I've ever seen/heard of Dorsett is when Kaleta punched him a dozen times in under a minute. Nice to see he's a fan-favorite and will add even more grit. Clowe (assuming we re-sign him) and Dorsett will provide a lot of what we've missed this year.

What's his injury, and when's he supposed to return?

Awesome man!

Very physical player. Loves to hit, agitate, and drop the gloves. Did play some on the PK and did well (I'm biased).

I think if we make the playoffs we'll be lucky to have this guy for our bottom six. Assuming we go in with a healthy roster, I think we'd have the depth to roll 4 lines for quite some time against any team. Not necessarily lines, but the depth would be:

Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Clowe-Richards-Callahan
Pyatt-Brassard-Zuccarello
Powe-Boyle-Dorsett

Asham (Miller)
