What this means is we are due. Nylander, Marner, our 2016 1st for ROY. Stamkos for rocket. Rielly for Norris. Reimer/Sparks for Vezina. Marner for Smythe. Ross.... idk. Best bets from that would be ROY. We have 2 great rookies with chances to win it soon.

Looking at that post makes me so happy. Obviously, none besides ROY prediction have happened yet(and that was with me saying 2016 1st not even Matthews lol). But Rielly has become a Norris caliber player, Marner art ross calendar, Matthews a rocket+ross type player(can challenge when healthy), sparks a decent backup and Freddy a Vezina Favourite. If only Nylander was playing games right now, man would that be something else. Mark Hunter, Lou Lam, Mike Babcock, our assistant coaches, Shanny, Kyle Dubas etc all deserve credit for helping to implement a system to help develop guys like Marner, Nylander, Rielly, Kadri, Brown, Hyman etc. We were known as a team that killed prospects career before 2014. Amazing time to be a Leafs fan.

If the Leafs win the Cup this year pretty much for sure Babcock gets the Jack Adams and strong chance Dubas wins GM of the year, since he signed Tavares, survived the Nylander standoff, and ended the cup drought.

Then a part of me laughs at Lou and Hunter who could’ve been part of it but had egos and opted out (way more understandable for Lou though)
