Not in this specific scenario, but I've skimmed enough Mercer trades in the past, and the ask is usually sky high.

It's not like it's unique to Devils fans, every fanbase does this with a few players they're emotionally invested in.

Oh for sure, I think most have come down on the insane ask for him now though.
Most fans I see wouldn't be opposed to moving him, just they'd want a forward coming back

I think he's shown that he's not likely to be more than a 20 goal 40 point player, that plays all situations and is a puck hound.

Personally I'd rather keep him seeing as him and Bratt are the only forwards that can stay healthy.
